Harley Noel & Hawkes Home Residents

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul San Rafael Conference (in Rancho Bernardo) is hosting an evening with Harley Noel, who will discuss Hawkes Home, a sober-living facility for men after incarceration.

Hawkes Home currently houses about 12 men who receive support and assistance to get back into society. The men have courage, strength, and desire to meet tough challenges. They lack job skills and resources needed to enter the job market, so they can provide for themselves and their families.

Harley, with his wife Joyce, owns and operates McIntyre House in Los Angeles. Hawkes Home, located in Vista, is the second such home. Hopes are to open still another facility in San Diego County. Hawkes Home provides a supportive environment so these men do not find their way back to prison.

Harley is an active parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Encinitas, serving visibly in the parish. After 20+ years, he is still active in prison ministry. Harley and Joyce previously served as missionaries.

Hawkes Home has received the support from parishioners at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church; and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, among others. Join us to hear more about the project!
