Ozanam Orientation at San Rafael!

Ozanam Orientation is finally here!

Orientation turns you in a new direction!  Meet the new San Diego team of trainers for Orientation in the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.  They are ready to greet you at San Rafael Parish in Rancho Bernardo on Saturday November 4.  Don’t miss the English presentation of the 2016 Ozanam Orientation.

8AM Mass is recommended, but optional.  Registration opens at 8:45AM in the meeting room.  The presentation is from 9AM to 3PM.  We meet on the first floor of the Parish Hall, about 50 feet from the office.  The free event requires your RSVP.

The English trainers are: Gennette Medina, Judy Marquie, Lali Chan-Chale, Sandra Watson, and Tracy Ferchaw.  (A Spanish training will be held at a later date. Our Bilingual trainers are Margarita Galindo, Tim Schulz, and Lali Chan-Chale.)

The English team was commissioned by Western Region Formators Catalina Miller and Kathy Iberle.  The Orientation includes discussions about the Society on the local, national, and international level.  The focus will be: History, Spirituality, Organization, Resources, Poverty, and the Home Visit.

Learn more about the Society.  Spend the day with us and browse materials and resources.  You will receive our Rule and a Manual.  Lunch will provide time to talk informally with others and learn about Conferences in San Diego.  If you haven’t yet attended a training in a while, it is time you learned about our rich, varied, international family.

It was 1617 when Vincent received his call at the bedside of a poor dying man.  400 years later, we continue to live the Vincentian Charism.  Personal stories about St. Vincent de Paul, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, St. Louise de Marrillac, and Blessed Rosalie Rendu will add flavor to the day.

The emerging discussions help Vincentians see themselves as a vital link in the worldwide network of charity, envisioned by Frederic Ozanam over 175 years ago!

RSVP required by October 30 to:   svdpsddiocese@gmail.com
