Father Greg Adolf, pastor of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, in Sierra Vista, AZ, led us in a Day of Recollection on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016. About 175 folks from throughout the Diocese of San Diego, most of whom were not members of the Society, joined us a Mission San Diego de Alcala to “Celebrate the Year of Mercy in the Vincentian Way.”
We had breakfast and lunch together, with lots of time to socialize. Before celebrating mass, Fr. Greg led us in procession to the Mission, through the Holy Door. We sang the tune written for the 400th anniversary of the Vincentian charism: “Please come in, the door is open.” Vincentians in attendance participated in the annual commitment ceremony, rededicating themselves to the Vincentian ministry. We ended with a closing session and Questions & Answers.
A huge thank-you to everyone who attended and to all who made the day possible. Look for photos and a video link soon!
