The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Diocesan Council of San Diego and the San Diego Diocesan Office for Social Ministry co-hosted a Day of Recollection with Fr. Greg Adolf. This years theme, “400 Years of the Vincentian Charism,” recognized that St. Vincent de Paul received his call to serve the poor and marginalized 400 years ago.
The event was open to all who were interested. Fr. Greg Adolf shared his love of the gospel and brought it to life. He shed light on the Vincentian charism as it is lived today in our church. It was a added joy that Bishop John Dolan was able to celebrate Holy Mass with us.
This free event was held at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church in San Diego. A complementary breakfast preceeded Fr. Greg’s talk. Mass, lunch, and closing comments ended the day. The invitation was extended to all.
Our hope was to inflame hearts to open more Conferences in San Diego. We anticipate that the fruit of this day will be forthcoming.
